All loads need to be here no later than 15 minutes before closing time.

Covered/Secure Load Policy

All waste, regardless of type, size or weight must be completely covered with a tarp and secured to your vehicle when arriving at the Transfer Station scale. Material must be covered or tied down in a secure manner to prevent the loss of any contents of the load. This includes trash in plastic bags. Uncovered loads arriving at the Transfer Station will be charged an increased fee.

This policy conforms to the STATE OF IOWA STATUTE 321.460 which states:
A vehicle shall not be driven or moved on any highway, by any person, unless such vehicle is so constructed or loaded or the load securely covered, as to prevent any of its load from dropping, sifting, leaking, or otherwise escaping, or its load covering, from dropping from the vehicle.
